This is CPW News for October 2008. CPW Returns to Keyser November 22th!
Hello, wrestling fans! We are gearing up for one of the biggest shows in CPW history as we present "Legends of the Fall" on Nov. 22 at the Keyser Primary Middle School with a special 7 pm bell time.
Before we get to that date we are making a pit stop into some familiar grounds. We will be returning to Moorefield, WV on Nov. 1 in the Old Gym at the Moorefield high School. This is the first time we will be at the home of the yellow jackets in almost a year and a half. Bell time for that show is 7:30.
Gino Sammartino will be at this big show as he defends the belt against "One Man Warning" Bill Bain. Bain is looking to get back on the winning ways as he tries to capture the WV belt for the second time. Gino is looking to stay in key form. The qustion going into this one is GINO overlooking Bain? Just 2 weeks after this show is the big Nov. 22 show in Keyser and GINO has been challenged by The Maestro, former WCW star. We will have more on this show in the upcoming weeks.
Also on Nov. 1 Buddah will face Mike Rattick in a tuxedo match. CPW has not had this kind of match in almost 6 years. Since winning the tag team title with his partner Bob KELLER Buddah has been on a roll. We have seen him do many things that is earning him the title of "crazy." When asking Buddah about this upcoming match he appears to be more focuseed on his tux that on the match himself. Rattick has vowed to take Buddah and bruise his pudgy body.
Tickets for this show on Nov. 1 are just $5 and can be bought at This And That Varietys in Moorefield. You can also get tickets off any MHS Theater Student. The theater dept. will get part of the proceeds.
In the upcoming dayts and weeks our site will be going going through major changes. It is going to be more fan friendly and always giving you the latest and breaking news in the world of CPW.

Championship Pro Wrestling is looking for the best talent to be a part of our company. We are giving trained wrestlers in the four-state area the opportunity to prove themselves on a live show. CPW Commissioner SPIKE CALLAHAN has created the "CPW Proving Ground", and it begins fifteen minutes before each scheduled CPW event in 2008. Wrestlers should call (571) 263-9366 or e-mail us at cpw@cpwwrestling.com for more information. Fans will continue to see hungry young competitors squaring off in ten-minute time limit matches to showcase their abilities to the CPW fans. If you see a bonus match before bell time, it's probably two (or more) wrestlers with something to prove. |
| If you want to become a pro wrestler, Championship Pro Wrestling is a great place to train. Applicants will be expected to travel to the Keyser area for classes. SHANE SHADOWS is our head instructor, with other CPW wrestlers and employees assisting as needed. Shadows has wrestled against a veritable Who's Who of the wrestling business, having stepped into the squared circle against Dusty Rhodes, Chris Candido, Jimmy Valiant, The Masked Superstar, The Honky Tonk Man, The Barbarian, Joey Mathews, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and numerous others. Previous students have had guest instructors including Gino Sammartino, Bill Bain and Damage Incorporated. If you are interested in becoming a trained professional wrestler, come visit us during one of our live events, drop us an e-mail at school@cpwwrestling.com, or call John at (304) 538-3384. Serious inquiries only. You will be required to make a 15% down payment and sign a waiver form before beginning your training. |
