We're off to Big Bear Lake for the Spring Slamtacular on May 25th!

UPDATE: Redneck Rumble match signed for May 25th in Bruceton Mills.

Hello, wrestling fans! We had a great time at Birthday Bash, and now Championship Pro Wrestling is ready to begin the summer season of show, a jam-packed stretch taking up from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. We will kick things off of Sunday afternoon, May 25th when CPW returns to Big Bear Lake in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia for "Spring Slamtacular 2008." This will be CPW's 100th wrestling event, and it will take place at the Big Bear Lake Community Building. There will be a special 12 Noon bell time for the show, and tickets will be on sale soon at Big Bear Lake. Tickets are only $5 for members. The main event in Bruceton Mills will be a "Redneck Rumble" team battle royal. Also at Spring Slamtacular, you'll see CPW Unified Heavyweight Champion HYJINX defending his title against former champion "THE LIVING NIGHTMARE" GRIFFEN. JAKE "THE MACHINE" DAVIS will go one-on-one with "HIGHWAYMAN" LESLIE LEATHERMAN in what should be an excellent match. "SEXY" SHANE SHADOWS, CPW West Virginia Champion GINO SAMMARTINO, and DEUCE DONATELLI with MISS GINGER will also be part of the big May 25th show. We look forward to seeing all the great Big Bear Lake fans for this very special afternoon in the history of Championship Pro Wrestling!

Shane Shadows And we definitely haven't forgotten all the great CPW fans in Romney, West Virginia! We can't wait to see all of you when we return to Romney Middle School on Saturday night, April 12th for "Birthday Bash XI". Bell time is 7:30 PM. The Middle School is located at 1975 Calvert Drive, just off of Route 50 in Romney. In addition to celebrating the 11th Anniversary of Championship Pro Wrestling, fans will get to see the CPW debut of former WWE Tag Team Champion AL SNOW. Snow is also well-known as the former host of the WWE "Tough Enough" reality show on MTV, the trainer of WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and Mike Mizanin, and the cornerman for former UFC heavyweight champion Dan Severn. We can't wait to see another pro wrestling legend in action during Birthday Bash XI on April 12th.

We had a major upset on April 12th at Birthday Bash. It all begin during the introductions to the CPW Tag Team title match when referee BUDDAH got into an argument with the NEW WORLD ORDERLIES. The masked men attacked Buddah and laid him out. Early in the match, TOMMY HAWK sustained a knee injury at the hands of one of the Orderlies, leaving challenger BOB KELLER facing a two-on-one situation. Buddah removed his referee shirt and went to stand with Keller. The "Mega Rocker" eventually subdued one of the masked men with his signature swinging neckbreaker. As a result, Keller and Buddah are the new CPW tag team champions. The New World Orderlies lodged a protest immediately following the show, but after attacking a CPW official, they're not receiving a lot of sympathy from the front office. Look for a return bout between the new champs and the N.W.Orderlies in the near future.

Hyjinx Former four-time CPW Heavyweight Champion "SEXY" SHANE SHADOWS and "HIGHWAYMAN" LESLIE LEATHERMAN went to war on April 12th in Romney at Birthday Bash. The two men have been after each other for the past seven months, and this one-on-one meeting was as intense as you thought it would be. The match was about even until senior referee PATRICK LAWSON was accidentally laid out by a flying forearm from "3-S". At this point, GUTTERBOY ran in to assist Leatherman. Referee JEFF COUSINS and Commissioner SPIKE CALLAHAN were laid out as they tried to stop the melee. Shadows and Leatherman actually brawled all the way out to gymnasium parking lot at Romney Middle School. The match officially went down in the books as a no contest. Leatherman and Gutterboy were fined for their postmatch actions. Will we get another one-on-one matchup between Shadows and Leatherman? And if so, how soon?

Wrestlers should call (571) 263-9366 or e-mail us at cpw@cpwwrestling.com for more information. Fans will continue to see hungry young competitors squaring off in ten-minute time limit matches to showcase their abilities to the CPW fans.
